KS Lee is a Senior Partner at the Asia Pacific office of Aligned Growth Partners in Singapore where he provides management consultancy, executive search and start-up mentoring services. He was the Vice President of Global Procurement for Motorola, Inc. for 15 years and was also General Manager of Motorola Tianjin Paging Operations for five years, a factory that manufactured pagers and had a 3,000 strong workforce.

K.S. Lee is a Senior Partner of Aligned Growth Partners where he provides management consultancy services focusing on Strategic Management and Digital Transformation, as well as Strategic Procurement and end-to-end Supply Chain Management.

With over three decades of increasing responsible experience with Motorola, Inc., K. S. worked in multiple global locations with increasing responsibilities, including Electrical Test System Engineering, Manufacturing Materials Planning, Manufacturing Operations, Materials Sourcing and Supply Chain Management. He received promotions to General Manager in Tianjin, China that manufactured pagers followed by promotion to the Vice President of Global Procurement, where he was responsible for global management of strategic commodities worldwide across multiple divisions in Motorola, Inc.

As the General Manager of Motorola Tianjin Paging Operations, K. S. oversaw the operations, supply chain, human resource, finance, technology, and engineering functions of the factory. He grew the workforce from 300 to 3000 people and increased the factory’s output from US$30 million to US$1 billion.

With further advancement, K. S. became Vice President of Global Procurement for Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical parts, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) for the Mobile, Home Networking, Cellular Infrastructure and Two-way Radio divisions of Motorola, Inc. In these roles, K. S. was accountable for the supplier base selection and strategic management of Motorola, Inc.’s suppliers (including Foxconn and Flextronics), ensuring that the company procured components that exceeded quality expectations for their products, at the lowest total cost of ownership and at world class cycle times. He was accountable of a global commodity spend of over US$1 billion and managed a global team located in US, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. His team was responsible for commodity strategy, supplier relationship management, supply assurance, technology and supplier development, global ramp of new products at multiple global sites and component quality. To execute the global procurement strategy, his team partnered with all the various global research and development centers, global operations , global material teams and the global product quality teams to deliver world class products to Motorola, Inc.’s international customers and exceeded customer expectations in terms of quality, delivery and costs.

K. S. holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya, and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He was selected as a Commercial Champion for the National University of Singapore Graduate Research Innovation Programme (NUS-GRIP), and has successfully provided mentorship to three deep technology start-up teams.
