Aloysius Gomes

Aloysius Gomes is a Partner at Aligned Growth Partners.

Aloysius has over 20 years experience as a Senior Supplier Chain Executive in the automotive industry.

Prior to joining Aligned Growth Partners, Aloysius was the Global Head of Supplier Quality and Development at APTIV Safety & Mobility Services Singapore. APTIV makes automotive products such as navigation systems, Advance Safety radar and camera products.

Aloysius was educated in India. After graduating from university, Aloysius worked for various MNCs in India before moving to Singapore in 1995 to join General Motors’ components division. General Motors later became Delco Electronics Systems, later becoming DELPHI before ending up as APTIV.

While he was working at APTIV, Aloysius was in charge of choosing the right supplier and oversaw quality control by doing regular supplier audits, and holding quality and improvement meetings. Aloysius also made sure that the suppliers followed industry best practices and that they met IATF 16949 and VDA6.3 requirements, which are industry standards for the automotive industry. One of Aloysius’s main achievements was achieving zero defects for the majority of the products while he was at the company. Aloysius also oversaw new product launches. During this process, he was in charge of selecting the suppliers, selecting new parts and overseeing the testing of new parts to make sure that they were reliable before they entered mass production.

Aloysius was also a keynote speaker in conferences run by various top companies, for example Global Foundries and Infineon.

Aloysius holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bombay and a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
