OPERATION EYESIGHT UNIVERSAL United States Board of Directors Appointment, Hedley Lawson
OPERATION EYESIGHT USA, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, announces the appointment of Hedley Lawson, Global Managing Partner for Aligned Growth Partners, LLC, to its board of directors, effective, March 19, 2020.
“We are excited to welcome Hedley to our board of directors. He brings decades of global executive and board advisory experience. As well, he brings extensive corporate executive leadership experience with SOLA International, Inc. (presently Carl Zeiss Vision), and serving as a Contributing Editor, Author and professional speaker to optical and vision industry publications and businesses,” said Nina Woodard, Chair of the Board for Operation Eyesight USA. Woodard continued, “Hedley’s leadership in key areas, such as international business development, organizational structure, strategy implementation and Board governance will be invaluable to our global mission.”

Based in Canada, Operation Eyesight Universal is an international development organization working towards eliminating avoidable blindness with the help of donations and support from service clubs, foundations, corporations and governments. It has brought sight-restoration and blindness-prevention treatment to millions of people since its founding in 1963. Today, their work is focused in the African countries of Ghana, Kenya and Zambia, and the South Asian countries of Nepal and India – places where blindness can be deadly, especially to those who are very young, old or poor.
